A Comfortable, Non-Judgmental Place to Talk
Starting therapy can feel uncomfortable, especially when someone is nervous about opening up or unsure what to expect. Liane takes time to get to know each client as a person and create a space where they can ask questions, move at their own pace and know they do not have to share anything before they are ready.
Sessions usually have a goal or area to work on, but therapy is not rigid. If something important comes up that day, the focus can shift. The goal is for clients to feel understood, respected and comfortable enough to work toward meaningful change.

My Approach to Therapy
Liane uses a mix of structured and exploratory therapy. Sessions begin with an understanding of the concerns bringing someone to therapy and the goals they would like to work toward.
From there, the approach is adapted to the individual. Some sessions may be practical and skills-focused, while others may involve exploring emotions, patterns or experiences. If something important comes up during a session, the focus can shift.

Why I Became a Therapist

My interest in psychology and science first led me to study psychology and research at university. Over time, I realized I wanted to work directly with people — to understand what they were experiencing, build meaningful relationships and help them make changes in their lives.
One of the most rewarding parts of this work is seeing clients make positive changes and hearing about their successes, sometimes even years after our work together has ended.
Outside of therapy, I’m a mom of two young children and enjoy reading, spending time with my family and being outside.
